Little Bo Peep

Here's Little Bo Peep looking for her sheep who are hiding behind the tree. I'm really enjoying illustrating nursery rhymes :)

Mouse playing a piano

Here's a mouse playing a piano for the daily doodle group. I wish I could play the piano!

Elephants

Hello, sorry for my absence but I was away visiting these handsome guys in Thailand. They're gigantic!!! I was very scared to touch them but I did - it feels like a hairy faux leather couch- and I also fed them watermelon. If you ever go to Thailand you can visit this sanctuary http://www.elephantnaturepark.org/ where they take care of rescued elephants, dogs, cows and cats.

Colour collective - Flame red

A little bit late but here my illustration for the colour collective challenge. This week's colour was red flame, which I think is a very nice colour.

More watercolours...

3 more illustrations with watercolour for the daily doodle group. Although they look simple, it took me ages to finish them. I really admire people who work with watercolours all the time.

This is for the letter Z

This is for the letter B

This is for the letter O

Colour collective - Brilliant violet

This week I decided to dust off my watercolours and once again give them a try. I've tried on other occasions to use them but became quickly frustrated by their unpredictability and by my lack of skill when using them. I remember that when I was at university I was taught all the different techniques and stuff, and I think that I did some nice paintings but after graduating I forgot everything I learnt :(
It didn't go too bad this time -I think!-

Colour collective - Sap green

My latest drawing obsession is kokeshi dolls. They're so cute! and they have so many accessories and different kimonos and hairstyles... They're definitely fun to style and to imagine.  This is a piece I did for the colour collective challenge. I must confess sap green is not my favourite shade of green but it's good to push myself out of my comfort zone once in a while. It makes me happy to thing that spring is just around the corner and that the trees will blossom soon.
